Chris Lewis


Chris Lewis is the Director of Destination Development with Tourism Kelowna. He has been working in the tourism industry in British Columbia for fifteen years, the last eight and a half have been in his role with Tourism Kelowna. Chris is an Alumnus of the University of British Columbia and has lived in the Okanagan Valley most of his life.

Looking forward to serving the Tourism Industry as a whole and representing Destination Organizations through a potential seat on the TIABC Board of Directors Chris is passionate about the recovery of British Columbia’s tourism industry and moving forward in a sustainable and accessible manner. Chris is excited about getting back into the sharing of best practices and collaboration through various Industry events and activations and currently serves on the Destinations International Canadian Membership Task Force and the 30 under 30 Alumni Council.

If Chris is not chatting with residents, visitors, and industry from the Kelowna Visitor Centre you can find him hiking, rock climbing, or with his partner, two children, two dachshunds, and a cat loaded up and exploring everything the beautiful province of British Columbia has to offer!


Vancouver’s tourism and hospitality sector helped to generate millions of dollars in economic impact as the city hosted three major events over the weekend.  The two-day Coast City Country festival with headliner Luke Bryan (Saturday only) attracted over 100,000 to BC Place Stadium. Sunday afternoon’s Sun Run attracted over 45,000 while a sold out Rogers Arena hosted 18,000 Canucks fans for game one of their playoff matchup against Nashville.
