Deborah Kulchiski has been contracting services to TIABC since January 2021 as Manager, Special Projects.  She has dedicated over 30 years to the tourism and hospitality industry in BC including destination marketing and management, destination development, visitor servicing, hotel and airline industry management/marketing, business & strategic planning and governance.  She has served on numerous Boards and Committees that included TIABC and BCDMOA; providing guidance and expertise to organizations, businesses and communities in creating a sustainable and vibrant tourism industry.

Vancouver’s tourism and hospitality sector helped to generate millions of dollars in economic impact as the city hosted three major events over the weekend.  The two-day Coast City Country festival with headliner Luke Bryan (Saturday only) attracted over 100,000 to BC Place Stadium. Sunday afternoon’s Sun Run attracted over 45,000 while a sold out Rogers Arena hosted 18,000 Canucks fans for game one of their playoff matchup against Nashville.
