Supporting National Butter Tart Day
Not all advocacy involves complex policy files, legislation, or regulatory reform. Sometimes it involves celebrating the people, products, and experiences that help define Canada. TIABC is proud to be a Founding Supporter of National Butter Tart Day and recently joined hundreds of organizations, businesses, and individuals from across the country in sending a letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages, in support of House of Commons Petition e-7213.

The petition seeks to designate April 19 as the official National Butter Tart Day in recognition of one of Canada’s most iconic culinary desserts.
